Festival Days in the Russian Railway Museum
15 season of the "Modern Art in a Traditional Museum" continues in St. Petersburg. The Russian Railway Museum plays active role in it.
We present announcement of festival events and projects you can visit in the nearest time.
As part of the "Modern Wednesday" cycle each Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm on October 2 to 23 and on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 5 pm up to October 27 you will have an opportunity to:
Take part in the tour in the settlers’ car and enter the acoustic landscape of its interior created by sound artist Alexander Morozov in his "Railway Opera. Stolypin Car installation";
Enter the virtual reality and explore "WE ARE OPEN" dance installation from the Cannon Dance dance school created in the Museum exhibition (choreographer Valeria Kasparova);
See "Fragile Island" installation by Tanya Akhmetgalieva at the screens of "Time Switches";
Hear rail’s singing in a "Railway Opera. Prelude project";
Try to answer the question: what happens with analog disciplines in the digital era?
Simultaneously during the festival days there will be additional activities as part of the cultural program events with open pre-registration on timepad (function is available one week prior the event):
On October 2 and 9 you can participate in art-mediations on festival projects in the Museum. Host –Lera Lerner. Start on October 2 at 6:30 pm and 8 pm and October 9 at 6 pm and 7:30 pm.
Attend a Video as the Modern Art Medium lecture by Olesya Turkina. Start on October 16 at 7pm
We remind you that entrance to the Russian Railway Museum during the festival is possible both with the Museum entrance tickets and with the festival single ticket which may be purchased either on the festival website or at the Museum gift shop.
