Largest attention was traditionally paid to such rarities as tank locomotive Ь (soft sign), the only preserved passenger locomotive С68, legendary Soviet locomotives СО, ФД and П36 and dissected model of Эр-791 locomotive with inspection pit and water supply devices. Special attention is gathered by passenger diesel locomotives of ТЭП series, Czech electric locomotives ЧС, unique passenger cars (lounge car № 3 and Red Arrow train car) to say nothing of the ТЭП70БС locomotive driver simulator which became a favorite piece for 4000 young visitors of the Museum.
