The Russian Railway Museum Held a Day of Knowledge for Future Railwaymen
On September 1, 2018 hundreds of first-year students from field-specific vocational schools attended celebratory assembly at the Russian Railway Museum. The Russian Railway Museum director Vladimir Odintsov, Head of the October Directorate of Traction Aleksey Lebedev, Deputy Head of the October Directorate of the Motorcar Rolling Stock Sergei Sidorenkov and Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the October Railway Pavel Markov delivered welcomed speeches to students, entered the Electromechanical College of Railway Transport named after A.S. Sukhanov and St. Petersburg Railway College.
The Museum staff prepared special program for the first-year students with tours around the exhibition, educational lectures with the demonstration of films devoted to the history and operation of the JSCo Russian Railways, as well as quizzes for the knowledge of the future profession. The most active participants were granted with prizes.
The largest multifunctional railway museum complex in the country performs celebratory assemblies at the Day of Knowledge for the field-specific vocational schools students for the second year in a row and it becomes a good tradition.
