Art Nouveau Cosplay at the Russian Railway Museum

On March 10, 2019 the Russian Railway Museum in St. Petersburg hosted an exhibition of historic railway costumes.

In the reconstructed building, near the Time Arrows representing key events in the railway transportation history, the uniforms of the Minister of Railways, the head of the railway, the station master and other uniforms were presented.

A feature of this event was the «revived» plaster sculptures. The Museum was visited by models from which the figures of the «live traffic light» and the front-line soldier were molded; and creative teams from all over Russia demonstrated the costumes of the Art Nouveau era.

A reconstruction of a ball evening then took place at the Vitebskiy railway terminal in St. Petersburg . All guests were dressed in costumes of the early 1900s.

The events are dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the Vitebskiy railway terminal which present building was erected in 1904 in the Art Nouveau style by the design of the architect S. A. Brżozowski.
