The Russian Railway Museum Took Part in XX International Museum Festival “Intermuseum-2018” for the first time
The jubilee XX International Festival "Intermuseum-2018" was held from May 31st to June 3rd, 2018 in Moscow on the territory of JSC "Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy" (VDNKh).
Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky took part in the opening ceremony of the festival.
About 400 museums from Russia and foreign countries took part in this large-scale event. Within the framework of the festival, various lectures, interviews along with thematic exhibitions and competitions for participating museums were organized.
The Russian Railway Museum had passed the stage of competitive selection thus it could participate in "Intermuseum-2018" exhibition. The Museum staff also presented a report for the business program of the festival called "The experience of the technical heritage interpretation within the frameworks of the festival work."
