The Russian Railway Museum invites you to a Victory Day celebration on May 7

On the eve of Victory Day, on May 7, 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00, a large-scale historical and patriotic event will be held, organized by the Oktyabrskaya Railway in cooperation with the Russian Railway Museum. A rich program awaits the guests: reenactors and field kitchen, themed excursions and workshops for children, live music and keepsake photos, as well as "live" steam locomotives.

From 13:00 to 15:30 on the tracks of the Baltic railway station in St. Petersburg, you can see a historically accurate replica of the armored train BP-43, as well as a retro train with samples of military equipment. Access to the armored train and the retro train will be carried out using commuter train tickets (including the escort card), as well as tickets to the Russian Railway Museum valid on the date of the event. 

Throughout the day, the Russian Railway Museum will host a space for reenactors: they will be able to get acquainted with the life of Soviet soldiers, see their equipment, study wartime propaganda materials and personal letters. The role of railways in Victory will be discussed on sightseeing tours, as well as on author's excursions.: "Roads of Victory" by Elena Subbotina and "Silent witnesses of a loud story" by Elena Kalashnikova on May 7 at 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00.

Young visitors will be welcome throughout the day at a postcard-making workshop, and everyone who wants to will be at a selfie mirror with free photo printing. A field kitchen will be open in the open-air exposition from 12:00 to 17:00. At the end of the holiday, from 15:30 to 16:30, live music from the war years will be played by the steam locomotive. The festive atmosphere of the victorious spring of 1945 will be created by decorating steam locomotives with fir paws and ribbons.
