The Russian Railway Museum will take part in the exhibition "200 years on rails" in Budapest
The Russian Railway Museum will take part in the exhibition "200 Years on Rails" in Budapest, Hungary, scheduled to open in July 2025. The exhibition will offer visitors to trace the development of railways in the world: from Darlington (England) in 1825 to Tokyo in 2025.
Thematic "stations" will be organized in the Hungarian Railway History Park with a story about important events in the railway history of each country. An imaginary journey through the epochs and countries will allow the guests of the exhibition to see how extensive the positive social, economic and cultural consequences of the construction of railways are. At the Russian "station" visitors will learn about the Olympic Games-80 in Moscow.
"The Russian Railway Museum will present images of some items from its collection related to the Olympic Games-80. Exhibits and texts will reveal the role of Soviet railways in the preparation and holding of this legendary event," says Vladimir Odintsov, Director of the Russian Railway Museum.
This is the first exhibition with the participation of the Russian Railway Museum in Hungary.
