The Russian Railway Museum is a participant in the Cultural Notebook campaign
Starting from August 1, 2026, the Cultural Notebook campaign will be updated with a stamp depicting the Russian Railway Museum. The print can be placed in the museum's souvenir shop.
The Cultural Notebook campaign is dedicated to the 323rd anniversary of St. Petersburg and is held as part of the Year of St. Petersburg Culture. Thematic stamps are waiting for everyone in the leading cultural institutions. They can be placed in special notebooks, on postcards, tickets and any other pages. The souvenir shop of the Russian Railway Museum presents unique postcards with steam locomotives, antique wagons and rare locomotives.
"Participation in the Cultural Notebook campaign allows visitors to form a personal collection of memorable artifacts and take a fresh look at the cultural heritage of St. Petersburg. Recently, I've become interested in postcrossing myself: I keep postcards with rare postmarks from different cities – they remind me of trips and casual but warm connections with strangers. That is why I especially appreciate the opportunity to present the museum's guests with the same small but significant souvenir. I invite everyone to join the project and keep the memories of visiting the Russian Railway Museum in the form of a commemorative item," said Dmitry Golovkin, Director of the Russian Railway Museum.
At the moment, the collection includes 23 prints. The Cultural Notebook campaign will last until August 31, 2026. The project is implemented by the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg with the support of leading cultural organizations, the Committee for the Development of Tourism and the bookstore "Subscription Editions".
The souvenir shop of the Russian Railway Museum is open during the museum's opening hours: from Thursday to Monday from 10:00 to 18:00, on Wednesday from 12:30 to 20:30, Tuesday is a day off. The gift shop is located inside the museum, on the right side of the entrance. An entrance ticket is not required to visit it.
