We present a large-scale update of the mobile application of the Russian Railway museum

In June 2025, a large-scale update of the mobile application of the Russian Railway museum was released. The museum app is now more productive and informative, and the content is available in English and Chinese.

Based on the conducted user experience research, a new interface has been developed: the design has been changed, the order of sections has been changed, and new elements have been added.

In the current version, you can find a lot of new content: 35 panoramas of the museum's premises, expanded and modified audio guides for 160 exhibits, 15,000 digitized pages of archival materials.

Information about the exhibits has been translated into English and Chinese to make the history of Russian railways available to users around the world.

Using the mobile application of the Russian Railway museum, you can study the history of Russian railways using the example of the collection of the country's largest branch museum. Navigation, thematic audio guides and panoramic tours, augmented reality tips and quizzes, three-dimensional exhibits and an archive are all available for free from a mobile device or from a personal computer. The app was released in 2022 to mark the 185th anniversary of our country's railways and the 5th anniversary of the Russian Railway museum.
