A new installation "From Century to Century" in the coupe of the "Red arrow" wagon is available at the Russian Railway Museum

A new installation "From Century to Century" is available at the Russian Railway Museum. The installation is located in the interior of one of the coupe of the "Red arrow" ("Krasnaya Strela") wagon.

The combination of original stock items and exposure lighting recreates the atmosphere of railway travel in the 2000s. Now, museum guests can view how passengers traveled and what they took with them a quarter of a century ago, as well as try to solve the Riddles hidden in the installation.

The Russian Railway Museum implements various formats of interaction between guests and rolling stock facilities: free access to restored wagons, exhibition complexes inside the exhibits, multimedia technologies showing the rolling stock from the inside, as well as exposure lighting of the interiors. Previously, the illumination was already used in the mail car, the III class suburban carriage, the cabins of the ChS2 electric locomotive and the TEP80-0002 diesel locomotive, as well as in the booth of the SOм17-1137 steam locomotive. The interior of the "Red arrow" coupe is now available for inspection.

This carriage of the "Red arrow" train was built by the Ammendorf carriage building plant on October 13, 1994. The carriage can be found in the western part of the new museum building. In 2021, for the 90th anniversary of the legendary express train, the carriage was restored, and the exhibition "Train No. 1" was located next to it.
