Exhibition "150 Years of Crimean Railways" at the Russian Railway Museum
2025 marks the 150th anniversary of the start of regular rail traffic in Crimea, an event that forever changed the fate of the peninsula. To mark the anniversary, the Russian Railway Museum presents a temporary exhibition.
Guests will learn about the history of the construction and development of the Crimean highways: from the construction of the Lozovo-Sevastopol road in 1874-1875 to the start of operation of modern trains and the creation of key infrastructure connecting the peninsula with the Krasnodar Territory. The exhibition will feature photographs from the "Album of views of the Lozovo-Sevastopol Railway" with views of Crimean railway stations of the late 19th century. The central place in the exhibition will be occupied by historical documents and photographs, tickets from the Soviet period and railway tools used in the construction of the highway.
The exhibition "150 years of Crimean Railways" will be open from September 24 to December 2025.
