​Railway is our Second Home exhibition in the Russian Railway Museum

The Russian Railway Museum and Art-Nevagrad artistic company of deaf art workers present city exhibition Railway is our Second Home made by deaf artists and photographers from December 7 to 30, 2019.

Deaf artists from the Art-Nevagrad artistic company present their works in the Russian Railway Museum for the first time.

Exhibition will show paintings and photos dedicated to the railway equipment, stations and terminals that for a short period become a home for passengers and travelers.

Since invention of railways, artists paid a lot of attention to the world of steel trunks. Exhibition will present different approaches of deaf artists to the reflection of railway objects showing differences in understanding of many elements of the railway world.

Railway in the works of the exhibition participants is the basic element of the modern man worldview. Steel trunks became a part of nature and tend to harmonize it. Despite all changes in a city environment, railway stays unchangeably.

Deaf person since the early childhood watches railway objects and form an image similar to images of the ancient architectural complexes. Artists and photographers look both inside and outside the train and their viewer thus can visit a passenger car.

Exhibition will be opened on December 7 at 2 pm in the Russian Railway Museum.
