Exhibition "Roads of Victory" at the Russian Railway Museum

The exhibition "Roads of Victory", dedicated to the heroic work of railway workers during the Great Patriotic War, has begun its work at the Russian Railway Museum.

The exhibition features rare exhibits, documents and photographs: items of uniforms and awards of railway workers, medical instruments from military ambulance trains and a device for blood transfusion, models of an artillery transporter and steam locomotive Em No. 721-83, which led the first train out of Leningrad after the blockade was broken, albums of photographs of destruction and restoration along the Oktyabrskaya railway, as well as a unique a blanket tied up in besieged Leningrad.

A combination of authentic exhibits and vibrant installations helps to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of wartime. The architectural and artistic solution of the exhibition provides a presence effect.

The thematic sections of the exhibition are devoted to ensuring the uninterrupted movement of trains, the delivery of troops, ammunition and equipment to the front, the large-scale evacuation of the population, industrial equipment and cultural property to the rear, life in frontline and besieged cities, the work of military sanitary trains, the restoration of destroyed railways and the arrival of the Victory train at Belorussky railway Station in 1945.

The "Roads of Victory" exhibition is a tribute to all railway workers, without whom victory over the enemy would have been impossible.

The exhibition is open to visitors until December 30, 2025.

Admission to the exhibition is subject to an entrance ticket to the museum.
