/ 6

The country's largest multifunctional railway museum complex resumed work on July 30. It is noteworthy that this day marks the International Day of Friendship, which was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly on April 27, 2011 at the 65th session.

The very first visitors to the museum on the opening day were Tatyana Sedova and her grandson Vladimir, who came from Tver. And this is no coincidence. As Vladimir said, he loved railways from early childhood, and he was looking forward to the opening of the museum with great impatience. Tickets were purchased on the official website of the museum as soon as it became possible. In memory of the event, guests received souvenirs and gifts.

It should be noted that museum visitors will be able to see not only the permanent exhibition, which presents carefully restored steam locomotives, models and interactive systems, but also the exhibition project "Trains of Mercy", implemented jointly with the Military Medical Museum of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The temporary exhibition shows the experience of the development and use of sanitary trains for more than 100 years. The main attention is paid to the railway evacuation of the wounded during the Great Patriotic War.The exhibition features authentic medical instruments, medicines, dressings, clothing for military ambulance train personnel and much more. The exhibition will run until November 20, 2020.
