The Russian Railway Museum Took Part in “Museums to Children” Action Dedicated to the Day of Knowledge
On September 2, Children’s centre of the Russian Railway Museum took part in “Museums to Children” Action in Summer Garden of the Russian Museum.
The staff of the Children’s centre performed different games and workshops for young visitors, during which children learned how to make pop-up greeting card shaped as steam engines and decorated photo frames and gift covers. The youngest participants in the workshops were two-year-olds, and the oldest was seventeen.
During this action the pavilion of the Russian Railway Museum was attended by about 1000 visitors. About 100 children made together with their parents a memorable handicraft with museum brand mark.
This action is held by the Russian Museum for the second time. This year the event involved 22 museums and several educational institutions for children.
