The Russian Railway Museum waits for Silver Volunteers

The Russian Railway Museum and Honor charity foundation providing social guaranties for RZD holding pensioners have agreed on cooperation.

On December 6 during the meeting with core group of the October railway Veterans council in St. Petersburg, a declaration on volunteering development was signed. It was signed by the director of the Russian Railway Museum Vladimir Odintsov and general director of Honor foundation Boris Kalatin.

Longstanding professional experience and knowledge of JSC RZD pensioners will be useful for volunteering work connecting with the Museum and with corporation life as well as city events.

The project will allow people of so called silver age to share their experience with youth, to live active interesting life and to widen social contacts. Volunteers will help to perform mass cultural events of the Museum and consult visitors on the exhibition work as well as make their best to help to control the Museum equipment safety and following the rules by the Museum visitors.

Volunteers actually help to the Russian Railway Museum since its opening . First Silver Volunteers activists already started their work in summer 2019. Their help during the Night of Museums and Vintage Journey actions, Modern Art in a Traditional Museum and Children’s Days in St. Petersburg festivals as well as many other events was truly invaluable.

During the meeting, museum volunteers were granted commendations and received memorable souvenirs.
